General Duty Assistant (GDA) play a very important role in giving the patients best of the experience. They are a part of any hospital’s core team who would be instrumental in creating the right atmosphere and image for that lasting First Impression.

- Assisting the nurse in bathing and grooming the patient
- Assisting patient with dressing, feeding and general elimination
- Transfer patient to hospital
- Communicating appropriately with coworkers
- Assisting the nurse to perform procedures according to the instructions in the care plan
- Answering patient calls
- Cleaning medical equipment under the supervision of a nurse
- Transporting patient samples, medicines, and patient documents and managing the change and transport of clothing/linen Post-death care
- Acting within the limits of one's ability and authority
